Wander Freely is a magazine project and exploration of editorial design. The magazine highlights the intersection between budget travel and outdoor adventure. It’s playful yet rustic design indices readers who want to see the world off the beaten path. In addition to the cover and masthead design, this project contains a table on contents, one short article, one feature article, two full pages adds, and one half page ad. In addition to the design, layout, and typography, I utilized photos I had already taken, created new ones for particular instances, and curated open source images when using my own weren’t possible. I also wrote the copy seen throughout the magazine and ad designs as well as the short article as I find writing compelling text to be critical to design work.
